I've Gone Sticker Crazy!

Ok so I already knew I loved stickers. I mean I had a whole sticker collection when I was about 7 or 8. I also buy scrapbooking stickers for my scrapbook pages, but recently I have discovered a whole new world of stickers, planner stickers!

I'm sure I have spent over $200.00 on planner stickers on Etsy in the last few months alone. I know, I know, it's pretty clear that I have a problem, but look how cute they are!!

Please don't judge me.

Until next time!

Dreaming of Detroit

Nope, I'm not dreaming of Turks and Caicos or Saint Lucia. At least not right now.

Right now I'm dreaming of Detroit.

A few months ago a friend sent me this print of Diego Rivera's Dia de Flores (Flower Day) painting for my birthday from the Detroit Institute of Arts and it came with a pamphlet about the current special exhibition on Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo that I'm dying to go to, just dying!

Diego and Frida visited the U.S. in the 1930's and I don't know why I always forget about the work that Diego did in Detroit. Detroit Industry, one of Diego's best and most well known murals, is in the Detroit Institute of Arts. It would be absolutely amazing to see it in person, but to also be able to see over 60 of Diego and Frida's pieces at the same place through this exhibition would be a dream come true. The problem is I've only just realized that this exhibition ends on July 12th. That's about three weeks away! I don't know why I thought I had until October to go, but right now I'm really hoping I can make it to this fantastic exhibition before it ends. Fingers crossed I do.

Until next time!

I won, I won, I won!

I won, I won, I won! Me, the fat girl with insomnia, sleep apnea, plantar fasciitis and a bad knee won the step challenge at work! (whew)

It's amazing how much free time I have now that the challenge is over. I actually have time to work on my blog more often and clean my apartment and shave my legs and.....oh the possibilities are endless.

All in all I am happy and so proud of myself and still a bit sore (even 4 days after it ended). I was able to see that with a little motivation like, ahem, some prize money, I could really push myself to the limit and it's definitely a good feeling.

Now I just have to share this "motivational" video my boyfriend sent me when I told him I won:

:)

Until next time!
